5 -point mini face lift is performed using a new generation dermal filler known as “Profhilo®”. Profhilo® is a revolutionary new development in the field of medical aesthetics. The injections are made with ultra-fine needles in the superficial layer of the epidermis using the BAP technique. This involves five injection points on each side of the face. It is an excellent standalone treatment that can also be used in conjunction with other aesthetic treatments to improve tissue quality.
Profhilo® is based on IBSA patented technology that allows it to maintain its stability without the use of chemicals that are found in other hyaluronic acid based products. The technology uses a hybrid complex of hyaluronic acid at high and low molecular weights resulting in one of the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid for any product on the market (64mg/2ml). After injection Profhilo® remains in place for up to 28 days and then is safely broken down the body and eliminated. Whilst in place, it generates a dual action: Hydration and remodelling of collagen and elastin. It distributes itself evenly without resistance integrating within the skin and existing tissue. It successfully hydrates the skin and stimulates four different types of collagen and elastin resulting in a significant improvement in tissue quality. Over all skin tone, texture and hydration are improved resulting in a more radiant complexion. The results of this treatment vary depending on the health and the age of the skin.
Areas that can be improved with Profhilo® include the temples and forehead, the neck, hands, décolleté, inner arms, knees and hands. For the face, neck, and hands only five injection points known as Bio Aesthetic Points(BAPs) are required. This is due to the high spread ability of the product and to reduce the chance of complications.

Typically, a course of two treatments, one month apart is recommended every six to twelve months. Top up treatments depend on the response to the initial treatment.
We start losing collagen and elastin from an early age. This makes the skin thinner, causing it to appear less radiant. By injecting Profhilo we can slow down this process, develop firmer skin and prevent the formation of lines and volume loss.
Profhilo® can be combined with other non-surgical cosmetic treatments to complement their effects.
In most cases there is very little downtime. You can resume your normal activities immediately after treatment. We advise you to avoid using saunas, sun exposure, exercise and massaging the treated area for 24 hours following treatment.
Profhilo® is free of additives making it a safer product to use with fewer side effects than more traditional dermal fillers. However, as with any injectable treatments there is a small risk of bruising, swelling and discolouration at the injection site. Though these side effects are rare there is also the possibility of nodule formation, bumps, allergic reactions, and vascular compromise.
