Juvederm® Range

Product description

The JUVEDRM® range of dermal fillers are injected into selected areas of the face, to temporarily restore volume loss, smooth fine lines, and fill folds. The key product ingredient is hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring sugar that helps to maintain volume in the skin. As part of the ageing process the levels of HA our body produces begins to diminish which can lead to the formation of facial lines and wrinkles. The JUVEDERM® range is designed to replenish lost levels of HA resulting in smoother and plumper looking skin. Many of the products in the JUVEDERM® range contain a mild local anaesthetic (lidocaine) which makes the injection experience more comfortable compared to products with no anaesthetic ingredient.

Products in the Juvederm range 

The following is the Juvederm® product range, specially designed for different purposes and effects:

• Juvederm® Ultra 3, Juvederm® Ultra 4 and Juvederm® Volift Suitable for wrinkle correction, filling nasolabial folds and lip augmentation.
• Juvederm® Ultra 2 and Juvederm® Volbella: Ideal for the correction of fine lines. 
• Juvederm® Volite: Nourishes the skin and offers deep level hydration. Can be used on the face, neck, back of the hands, and décolletage.
• Juvederm® Voluma Replenishes lost facial volume. Suitable for cheek and chin augmentation as well as defining the jaw line.

For optimal results products may be combined. 

Duration of effect

Juvederm products are long-lasting but not permanent. The duration of effect varies between individuals and is dependent on many factors, such as skin type, age, life style and activity level. The majority of clients require follow-up treatment between six and twelve months after their initial treatment for wrinkles and facial contouring. For lip treatments, a top-up treatment is usually required between three and six months. Once totally absorbed the products are naturally eliminated from the body. 

After Treatment 

Following treatment, it is normal to experience slight redness, tenderness and swelling in the treated area. These side effects are only temporary and are typically resolved within a few days post treatment. Swelling following lip augmentation can last up to a week and it is normal during this time for lips to appear uneven. Once swelling subsides the full aesthetic result of treatment can be observed.
Clients are offered a follow up appointment two weeks post treatment where touch ups can be administered if necessary. 

Possible side effects

The most common side effect of injections with Juvederm®  range of fillers are bruising and swelling that usually settles within a few days. We take all the possible measures to avoid/minimise the side effects.
