This non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure involves the careful placement of sutures to lift sagging facial tissue.
A French lift can benefit individuals who would like to correct sagging jowls, drooping cheeks and pronounced nasolabial folds (nose to lips lines).
Sutures made of propylene (a biocompatible material) are strategically inserted in the hairline. These sutures support underlying tissue by applying a gentle upwards tension. This results in the lifting of sagging cheeks, jowls and reduces the appearance of nasolabial folds.
A local anaesthetic is used to carry out this procedure which takes approximately 30 minutes to perform. Discreet incisions in the hairline are made using a long needle and the sutures are then inserted into place. Looping of the sutures scoop up and thereby lift the required facial tissue.
It is normal to experience some swelling and bruising following the French lift procedure. It typically takes between seven and ten days for this to resolve.
