PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The appearance of the lower face can play an important role in facial attractiveness. Juvéderm® VOLUX is an evolution within the Vycross® collection for lower facial contouring. Juvéderm® VOLUX is an injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) structural gel containing lidocaine with clinical trial data suggesting long-lasting improvements in chin projection and jaw contouring.

WHAT DOES THE PROCEDERE INVOLES?

At Richmond Cosmetic Clinic, the following steps are followed:

PRE- PROCEDURE:

• We offer you a FREE consultation with our consultant doctor to determine the suitability of procedure and exclude the contraindications. During the consultation, the doctor will be able to best determine the amount of filler that will be required to achieve optimal results. 

ON THE DAY OF PROCEDURE:

• On your arrival you will be asked to complete the relevant consent forms. 
• Photography of the treatment area.
• Application of topical anaesthetic to numb the treatment area.
• Once the treatment area is numbed, Dermal Filler (Juvéderm ® VOLUX) is injected using micro-cannula. This advance minimally-invasive technique reduces the complications.
• Following the procedure, the treatment area is massaged for the even distribution of the filler.
• Post treatment photographs to ascertain the results of the treatment.

AFTER CARE:

• 1. Ice packs may be applied to reduce the swelling and bruising.
• 2. Avoid taking aspirin for 1 week (unless required for medical purposes).
• 3. Avoid extreme temperatures (sauna, etc.) for 1 week.
• 4. Clients are advised not to wash the treatment area on the same day following the procedure.
• 5. To manage any feelings of discomfort following the procedure oral paracetamol two to three times daily after meals is usually sufficient. Do not take any anti-inflammatory drugs (unless required for medical purposes) such as Nurofen (ibuprofen).

DURATION OF EFFECT

• In a clinical trial Juvéderm® VOLUX delivered high satisfaction with 95% of patients reporting they were satisfied with the results three months after treatment. At 18 months, 62% of patients still felt their results were positive.

SIDE EFFECTS

• Inflammatory reactions such as redness, swelling, oedema, erythema, etc., possibly combined with itching or slight discomfort can occur. These reactions may persist for about few days.
• Haematomas, indurations or nodules may appear at the site of the injection.
• In extremely rare cases necrosis, granuloma or lump formation can occur.
