Cheek augmentation is a cosmetic procedure that is designed to add volume to the cheek area – this results in an overall fuller, fresher and more youthful appearance. It can also add definition and height to the mid face- high cheekbones have long been seen as a key feature of beauty and sophistication.
As we age the face begins to lose volume and the cheek area becomes flatter. In addition to the ageing process, fluctuation in weight, sun damage and excessive exercising can all contribute to facial volume loss. Restoring volume in the cheek area improves the overall appearance of the lower face.
Even when volume loss is not present a subtle cheek augmentation can enhance an individuals existing features.
Non-surgical treatment for cheek augmentation involves the administration of dermal fillers to restore lost volume in the cheek area. This procedure provides the lower face with a subtle lift and overall more youthful contours.
We use a range of products for cheek definition and augmentation. These include Restylane® Sub-Q, Juvederm® Voluma, Radiesse® and Ellanse®. Other dermal fillers can be injected on client’s request.
Possible side effects of cheek augmentation using cheek fillers include bruising, swelling and rarely lumps and infection.
The procedure is performed by Dr Baba, a highly trained and experienced aesthetic doctor who is also a senior trainer for this procedure at London Aesthetic Academy (www.londonaestheticacademy.co.uk).
