Smoker’s lines, also known as "lipstick lines" or "peri-oral lines", are the vertical lines that form on and around the upper lip.
Smoker’s lines can be caused by a variety of factors, including age, genetics, and unhealthy life style. they typically appear earlier in people who smoke.
Injection of dermal filler is the first line treatment in smoker’s lines. We use products from the Juvederm range, usually Juvederm Ultra2 or Juvederm Volbella. Occasionally a small dose of Botox is indicated to achieve optimum results.
